Psychometry – My Specialty?

What is Psychometry?: Psychometry is one of the most fascinating aspects of psychic work, both to perform and to witness. At its core, it is the ability to sense or receive impressions about a person, place, or situation by holding or touching an object that has been closely connected to them. The belief is that objects absorb and hold onto the energy of those who use or carry them. A watch, a ring, a locket, even something as everyday as a set of keys—these items often hold far more than their material value. They carry memories, emotions, and traces of experience.

When I perform psychometry, I quiet my conscious thoughts and allow impressions to come forward. These impressions might come in the form of images, words, emotions, or a sudden inner knowing that doesn’t come from logic but from tuning into the energy of the object. To the person watching, it can feel like I’m reading their life through something as ordinary as a bracelet or hotel keycard. To me, it feels like stepping into a story already written into the fabric of the item itself.

A Wedding Reception in Portsmouth

One of the most memorable recent occasions where I demonstrated psychometry was at a wedding reception in Portsmouth. Amidst the celebrations, laughter, and music, I was invited to perform for the guests. Weddings already carry such strong emotional energy—joy, nostalgia, family bonds—so psychometry felt especially fitting for that night.

I asked guests if they would lend me small personal items. Some offered rings and necklaces, while others handed over watches, wallets, and even a hotel keycard. Holding each item, I began to describe the impressions I received. For one guest, I sensed strong emotions of determination and resilience, and they later admitted they had just overcome a major challenge in their life. For another, I saw images of seaside holidays, which turned out to be a family tradition they had cherished since childhood.

The reactions were priceless. Some people laughed with delight, others became visibly moved, and many were left wide-eyed in astonishment. Soon, a queue formed as guests eagerly wanted to see what their belongings might reveal. In a room already alive with celebration, psychometry created a ripple of connection and amazement, making the evening even more unforgettable.

It is in moments like these—when strangers are drawn together through shared wonder—that psychometry truly shines. At the Portsmouth wedding reception, it wasn’t just entertainment; it became an experience people talked about long into the night.

How Psychometry Works

So, how does psychometry work? While everyone has their own explanation, my perspective is that every object retains an energetic residue. The longer or more intimately it has been used, the stronger that imprint becomes. A wedding band worn every day for decades, for instance, will be saturated with the love, challenges, and milestones of a marriage.

When I hold an item, I open myself to receive information through my psychic senses:

Clairvoyance – seeing images, symbols, or visions connected to the owner’s life.

Clairaudience – hearing words, phrases, or sounds in my inner ear.

Clairsentience – feeling emotions or physical sensations tied to the object.

Claircognizance – an inner knowing that surfaces without explanation.

I then share what comes through, and more often than not, the details resonate deeply with the person. Sometimes it’s something light and fun—a personality trait or a quirk. Other times, it touches on meaningful moments, relationships, or challenges. Each experience is unique, just like the object and person it is connected to.

Why Psychometry Captures People’s Imagination

Psychometry resonates with people because it feels so personal. Unlike other demonstrations that may feel broad or general, psychometry involves their own object—something they carry close every day or that has special significance. The idea that a ring, a watch, or even a house key can reveal something hidden about you is both fascinating and deeply moving.

This is why psychometry always sparks conversation. After I demonstrate it at an event, people inevitably start reflecting on the objects they own and the memories tied to them. It raises questions: What story does my wedding ring carry? What energy lingers in my grandmother’s brooch? What emotions are stored in my old guitar or favourite book?

It reminds us that our lives leave imprints not just on people, but on the very things we hold dear.

Psychometry at My Shows

Because of its unique impact, I make psychometry a regular feature at my shows. Whether I’m working at a wedding reception, a private party, or a theatre event, I find psychometry creates moments that people remember long afterwards.

It’s interactive, deeply personal, and never the same twice. One object might open the door to a lighthearted story that fills the room with laughter, while another might uncover something touching and profound. Either way, it connects directly with the audience in a way that few other demonstrations can.

At the Portsmouth wedding reception, for example, it wasn’t just the bride and groom who created memories—it was the guests too, each taking part in a shared moment of mystery and wonder.

Final Thoughts

Psychometry is more than a performance technique; it’s a way of experiencing the unseen. Objects carry energy, and that energy tells stories. To me, it is one of the most rewarding parts of my work as a psychic medium and entertainer.

When I perform psychometry, I never quite know what will surface, and that is part of the magic. Each item is a mystery waiting to be unlocked, each impression a reminder that our lives are written not just in memory but in the very things we carry with us.

If you’ve never seen psychometry before, I invite you to experience it at one of my shows. Whether at a wedding reception, private gathering, or a larger theatre event, psychometry always adds something unforgettable. It is one of my specialties, and it continues to amaze and inspire not just those watching, but myself as well.
